Pirate Drake and his new schooner.
In an old house, a cunning rat appeared. The people grew tired of its tricks and set a large metal rat trap with cheese inside.
At night, the trap snapped shut.
“Caught!” the people thought.
But the rat had no intention of giving up. Looking around, he realized: the wire grid was the hull of a ship, the wooden base was the deck, the ropes were the rigging, and the vertical rod was the mast.
During the night, he gnawed through the knots, turned the mechanism into a steering wheel, and made a sail out of a piece of cloth. By morning, the rat trap had become a small schooner.
When the people came in the morning, the trap was gone without a trace.
And by that time, a pirate named Drake was already roaming the world — the cleverest sea wolf among rats.
